(It's actually the same artificial tree  and will be decorated pretty much the same). Now I just need to  make the bow for the top to finish it up.

Love my iphone, but I need to utilize it more.  I do use the Notes app quite a bit, but need to remember to delete some of the notes once I've completed them.   This the list I started for today.  There's another list on here too, but showing my Christmas shopping list would ruin the surprise for some!

Here's my little quilting project.  I purchased a few Halloween fat quarters at Hollyhock Quilt Shop's open house last month and picked up a free pattern sheet.  The result was this cute little table topper for practicing my free motion quilting. Last week we headed out to enjoy a few days on the road. 
 Our original plan was to travel to West Virginia and explore some of the roads we've heard make for great motorcycle rides.  But after checking the weather forecasts, we decided to go a little farther south.  We ended up in the north Georgia mountains for the first few days of the week.  Warning, lots of photos ahead !

Here's another winter/spring project that I can mark off the list.  I used some miscellaneous modern prints I had collected recently and created this bright Easter Egg colored quilt for daughter #1.  Though it's size is just that of a generous throw, I think she'll enjoy it.  We traveled up to the Chicago burbs to visit her over the Easter weekend so the Easter bunny could deliver this. On the new Weight Watchers Points Plus Plan, you can pretty much have as much fruit as you want.  Does this qualify?  I think it does, on Valentine's Day at least!!Though I'm not so sure about the cookies that the family cookie baker delivered today, even if they are delicious - not that I would know that or anything :)

This is Quilt n Stitch in West Monroe, LA.  It is much larger than it appears in this photo.  They are Bernina dealers and have a huge classroom and lots of nice fabrics.  Plus some beautiful azaleas out front.

The daffodil buds I bought at Trader Joes about 10 days ago are in full bloom now.  I wish I could say that the ones in my garden look like this, but I think it's going to be a while until Spring.  At least we had a little taste of Spring on the kitchen table for a few days.

In my last post I said D had been busy with work "stuff".  Not your ordinary work "stuff" mind you, but a twelve day jaunt to China to train new employees at a new company office and plant.  He left me behind at the homefront and though I would have loved to go along, I didn't relish the thought of days alone in a hotel room in a strange country.  Maybe next time though!
