Today's photo is supposed to be of our Christmas tree.  Since our tree this year is still a work in progress, I'm using a photo of  the top of our tree last year. This photo makes me so happy!  Finally, all three little cousins together and they had such a good time! We spent an afternoon at Grants Farm in St. Louis where the boys had fun looking at all the animals and the famous Clydesdale horses.  I'm not sure how we got so lucky to get them all seated and posing for this photo but it makes this Grammie so happy to have this keepsake of a fun weekend.

Wedding photos as promised! We were supposed to take another motorcycle trip last week.  But our plans changed when D was browsing ebay and came across something we've been looking for the past few months.  Meet our new toy!  It is a 2007 LTV (Leisure Travel Van).  It's small enough to maneuver around town, up and down hills and back roads, but yet powerful enough with its diesel engine to pull our motorcycle trailer.

He's arrived!  Grandson number three made his debut on Tuesday, April 6 at 7:59 a.m. weighing in at 8 lbs., 10oz.  With a surprise last minute name change to  William Stafford Dugan, his great-grandpa is extremely pleased.  We spent Easter and the following week with his family so I was able to spend some time with the "big" brother and help keep him occupied while mama was away.

We've been blessed with two healthy grandsons and are looking forward to the birth of the third.  But unfortunately some families  have had to face the heart ache of a child with a terrible illness.  Lately there have been some stories on the local news of a family who have had to deal with not one but two children struggling with rare Batten Disease.  Sadly, their little girl passed away

We've had a lovely weekend here in Indiana.  But many of you had the same and I hope you were able to enjoy it as much as we did.  We didn't stay home, but can you blame us!  Sure, the garage needs to cleaned out, the kitchen still has some final touches that need to be completed (pics someday I promise!) and my sewing area needs to be organized, just to name a few of the not so fun projects

Lucky me!  We took a quick trip over to see the our Missouri family last weekend.  Look who's walking (and running)!  I was invited to the pumpkin patch with little J, his mama her, friend and her children.  It was pretty cold but we had a fun time.  This little gal is only a few days younger than our grandson and already wedding plans are being made!  She is adorable and I had so much fun

The Fall Quilt Show organized by Park City Girl has certainly been fun.  Thanks for all the nice comments about my quilts and for all the visitors who've stopped by this little blog!  I've no where near looked at all the quilts and blogs (I think there are over 600 by now!) but every day I try to look at a few.  There are some very talented people in blogland!  If you need some quilty inspiration

In my last post I said D had been busy with work "stuff".  Not your ordinary work "stuff" mind you, but a twelve day jaunt to China to train new employees at a new company office and plant.  He left me behind at the homefront and though I would have loved to go along, I didn't relish the thought of days alone in a hotel room in a strange country.  Maybe next time though!  The streets of

Last Friday I ventured across the county to the quilt show held at Edwardsville United Methodist Church.  The lighting wasn't photo friendly but you can tell there were some awesome quilts on display.  This is just a small portion of them. This t-shirt quilt was quite impressive and it was huge!  I loved the setting fabric for the t-shirts.  Someday I might try one of these - at least that's

It's a good thing that we did our weekend motorcycle ride last Saturday because the rains began on Sunday. Although we've not had as much as folks to the south of us, we've still had high water occasionally on many of the roads.  Our weekend ride last Saturday took us to Spring Mill State Park near Mitchell, Indiana.  The park is home to the Gus Grissom Memorial.  He was from this small town
